- Swimming - Ellie Simmonds tries for another gold in the 50m freestyle along with fellow Briton Natalie Jones (17:50). Jonathan Fox could be going for a second gold in the 50m freestyle (20:11), while Beijing 100m backstroke champion Heather Frederiksen aims to defend her title against American rival Jessica Long (17:37).
- Archery - Danielle Brown, who made history in 2010 when she became the first Paralympian to compete at a Commonwealth Games for England, is back in Paralympic action as she defends her individual compound title (semi-final 15:30, final 16:00).
- Wheelchair Fencing -Britons Simon Wilson and Vivien Mills will hope for individual foil medals as the fencing competition gets under way at the ExCel Centre (heats 09:30, finals 18:30). Hungary's Pal Szekeres is one to watch as the only athlete to win medals at an Olympics, in Seoul, and then, after suffering a bus crash, at a Paralympics (Barcelona, Atlanta, Sydney, Athens and Beijing).
- Boccia - Nigel Murray is ranked number one in the world and heads into his fourth Paralympic Games having already won two golds and one silver. The Briton is expected to feature (final 17:50) as the first medals are won.
